Dahlias are tuberous perennial plants related to sunflowers, daisies and chrysanthemums and love the wet Pacific Northwest climate. They are known for their bright colors and come in most hues, with the exception of blue. Dahlias can be planted well into spring when the ground is above 60 degrees and do best in full-sun plots or in the vegetable garden.
These flowers and many more can be found at beautiful nurseries throughout the Portland area including Swan Lake Dahlias.
